oDeliveryoftheagreedPackagingprogramme,workingcloselywithMarketing,ProductDevelopmentandSupplyChaintointroducenew/improvedpackagingintoproductionandtodrivecontinuousimprovementincostsofexistingpackagingoperations.

oOwnerofpackagingspecificationsandimplementationprocesses.

oProvidesupporttositestoensuredeliveryofsolutionsInterfacewiththeotherPackagingteammembersandbuildontheircombinedexpertiseinthecreationofnewPackagingsolutions,asrequired.

oProvideprojectmanagementdocumentationandcommunicationforpackagingincludingtime-plansandriskassessments.

oProvidepackagingexpertisetosupporttechnicalaspectsoftheProcurementstrategicpackagingagendaandCBR,linkingtorelevantmembersoftheStrategicMaterialTeams.

oCreatepackagingspecificationsinlinewithprojectrequirements;ensuringlegislativeandregulatorycompliance,fitnessforpurposeincludingfunctionalperformancerelatedattributesandcomplianceaspects.Packagingspecificationsinputtorelevantpladispackagingdatabase.

oLeadthecreationanddeliveryofotherrelevantpackagingdocumentatione.g.cutterguides,palletpatterns,componentdrawings,generalspecifications,technicalstandards,traveltestsandresults,linetrialprotocolsandreports.

oEnsureallqualitytestingiscarriedoutfornewpackagingformats,e.g.shelf-life,taintandodour,traveltests.

oConductandreportonpackagingtrialsatpladissites,co-makers/packersandmachinerysuppliers.

oAttendrelevantFactoryDevelopmentMeetingsandensureclearcommunicationofissuesandopportunities.

oDevelopsuccesscriteriaandtrialprotocolimprovementswithfactoriesfornewmachineryandmaterialsincludingacceptancetestingformajormanufacturinginitiatives.

oHoldregularmeetingswithsuppliersandotherexternalgroupstoensurepackagingknowledgeiscontinuallyupdated.
