Underguidance,directionandgeneralsupervision,sets-up,operatestestequipmentandconductsspecificandroutinetests;disassemblesandassemblestestsamples;recordstechnicaldata,draftsreports,actsasanassistantincomplexorunusualtests,underguidancefromseniorstaff;maintainsgoodhousekeepingatalltimes.
PrincipalDuties&Responsibilities
Toconducttestprogramsonconsumerproductsandpreparetheassociateddocumentation,includingcollectingandreviewingdataandwritingreports.
Assumesresponsibilityforthecompletionofassignedprojectswithinnegotiatedtimeandcostschedules.
Maytrainorsuperviseothers.
Generallyworkswithveryminimalornosupervision.
Reviewsprogramsandidentifiesfurtherneedstothecustomer.
Communicateswithcustomersandotherstakeholdersasneeded.
Researchesstandardsandequipment.Designsandmaybuildtestsetupsandequipment.

Oftenrequiredtomoveandliftheavysamplesandtestequipment
Concentrationrequiredtoworkwithelectricityandconducttesting
Usessenseofsight,touch,hearingandsmelltoassessresultsoftesting;shock/energy/heat/mechanicalhazardsandexposuretotoxicmaterials
PreferredEducation&Experience:
AssociatesdegreeinMechanical&ElectricalEngineeringTechnology,HVACORrelated
2-3yearsofrelatedexperience,experienceinthirdpartyisaplus
Practicalknowledgeofworkingwithtestandmeasurementinstrumentsandequipment;workedingasproductsuchasBBQ,gasheater,gasfirepitispriority.
Abilitytoworkindependentlyandunsupervised,inateam-basedworkenvironment
Mustbeabletoread,interpretanddevelopengineeringdrawingsandtestdata.
Abilitytomanagemultipleprojectssimultaneouslywhilemeetingpromiseddeliverydates
Mustbeteam-orientedwithgoodinterpersonalskillsandabilitiestocommunicateeffectivelybothorallyandinwriting,CET4orabove.
Mustbeself-motivatedandclient-serviceoriented
Demonstratedsystematicproblem-solvingability
Demonstratedabilitytoplan,organize,prioritize,follow-throughandevaluateassignedfunctionsandduties
ComputerproficiencyinWordprocessing,MicrosoftWord,Excel
