JobDescription

1.TheTestEngineerisresponsiblealongwiththecustomertodevelopthetestprocessandTestSpecifications,that

ensurethecustomerreceivesonlyproductthatmeetstheirrequirements.

2.TheTestEngineershallconstantlyupgradethetestprocesstoidentifydesigndeficienciesandscreenmanufacturing

andelectricaldefectsfromthecustomer.He/sheshallstrivetoobtainanoptimizedTestProcessbalancingcost,coverageandtesttime.

3.TheTestEngineershallreviewallassembliesfortestabilityandinteractwiththecustomeranddesignfacilityto

improvetestaccess,coverageandreducethecostoftest.

4.Developandimprovestestprocedures,testerhardwareandsoftwareforelectroniccircuitboardproduction,subject

toestablishedJabilstandards.Generatesreportsandperformsanalysisoftestdata.Initiateschangesintestingproceduresasassigned.

5.TheTestEngineershalldesignandsupportthebuildandmaintenanceoftesterandfixturesasrequiredtomeet

customerspecificrequirementsasassigned.

6.TheTestEngineershallreviewalltestprocessesandidentifyuntestedcomponents.

7.TheTestEngineershallprovideProjectsupportrelatedtoTestandDiagnosis.

8.TheTestEngineershallsupplythedocumentationforalltesters,componentprogrammers,anddiagnostic/repairprocessesasassigned.

9.TheTestEngineershallprovidesupporttotheoperationsdepartmentthroughparticipationintheContinuous

ImprovementProgram,andpromotionofa"QualityFirst"mentality.

10.TheTestEngineershallmonitorandcontributetotheimprovementofTestYields,TestEfficiency,TesterIntermittencies,ElectricalDefects,andoverallTesterperformance.

11.TheTestEngineershallensurecomprehensivespecificationsareproducedrelatingtoperformance,requiredstandardsofqualityandconformityforsubcontractvendorsandshallberequiredtoassessthesuitabilityofachosenvendortoperformtothosecriterion.

12.TheTestEngineershallcontributetothetrainingofTestEngineeringTechnicians,DiagnosticTechnicians,TestOperatorsandComponentProgrammers.

13.TheTestEngineershallworkwiththeDiagnosisGrouptofindmoreefficientwaystodiagnosedefectiveassemblies.

14.TheTestEngineershallinvestigatenewandexistingtestanddiagnosismethodstoimproveexistingproductsandsupportadvancingtechnologies.

15.TheTestEngineershallintroducecontrolsystemstoensureconformitytoISOstandardsandthathe/shecontinuallyreviewsallDepartmentsystemsinordertoimprovetheirefficiencyandeaseofuse.

16.TheTestEngineershallspendtimeonongoingeducationtokeepupwithnewtechnologies.Someexamplesofongoingeducationincludeschooling,readingtechnicalpublications,goingtoseminars,classesandshows.

17.Tomanageagoodlevelofmachinesparepartstoensureminimumproductionimpactduetomachinedowntime.

18.TheTestEngineershalladheretoallsafetyguidelinesandactivelypromoteasafetyconsciousattitudewithinhis/herdepartment.
