Summary

UbisoftisseekinganexperiencedOnlineLinuxAdministratortojoinourGlobalNetworkServices(GNS)team.TheGNSteamiscomposedofNetworkprofessionals,SystemsAdministratorsspecializedinMicrosoft,Linuxproducts,andNetworkArchitects.TheyapplytheirexpertisetoserviceUbisoftgamedevelopmenttosupportbusinessactivitiesinNorthAmerica,EuropeandAsiawiththehighestdegreeofquality.

TheOnlineLinuxSystemsAdministratorisresponsibleforthedesignandoperationsofourLinuxservers,withamainfocusononlinegamesprojects,operationalactivities,proactivecapacitymanagementandeventmonitoring.

Theselectedcandidateisadynamicproblemsolverwhocancommittoresolveproblemswithimpeccableservicetoourusers.HewillalsocontributetotheexecutionofvariousprojectsandwillactasasecondlevelsupportfortheLinuxsystemsunderhisresponsibility(including24/7pagerrotationsupport).

Mission

ThemainresponsibilitiesandroutinetasksoftheOnlineLinuxSystemsAdministratorareto:

-ResponsiblefortheproperdailyoperationsoftheLinuxsystemsunderhisresponsibility,suchasmultiplayermatchmakingsystems,largescalewebapplications,socialnetworkgames,backofficesupportsystems,etc;

-Install,maintainandupgradeLinuxOSandvariousapplicationsoftware;

-Troubleshootingandissueresolution,mustbeabletoworkflexiblehoursandovertimeasrequired;

-Monitorsystemeventstoensurehealth,maximumsystemavailabilityandservicequality;

-ParticipatetothebackupsandrestorationofLinuxsystems;

-Performsystem&applicationpatching

-Maintaindocumentationregardingconfigurations,operationsandtroubleshootingproceduresrelatedtotheLinuxplatform;

-Participatetothedefinitionofstandards,guidelines,bestpracticesandmetricsasdirected;

-Assistinevaluatingnewrequirements,technicaldesignandstandards;

-Answeruser’squeryandservicerequests;

-Carryoutallotherrelatedtasks.

Qualifications

-DegreeorequivalentexperienceinComputerInformationSystems,ComputerScience,Mathematicsorarelatedfield

-1-2yearsofexperienceinLinuxsystemsadministrationina300+serversenvironment
