TheGameplayProgrammerautonomouslydevelopsgameplayrelatedfunctions,assignedbytheLeadProgrammer,whichfacilitatetheplayabilityofthegame(thelinkbetweentheplayer'sactions,character'sbehavior,andtheconsequencesontheevolutionofthegame)andcomplexgameplaymechanisms

JobRequirements:

-Knowledgeofmultipleprogramminglanguages(C++,C#,Perl,Python,Java,ActionScript,etc…).

-Haveagoodunderstandingofmathematics,physics,artificialintelligenceandgameplaymechanics.

-Familiarwithgamespecificterminologies(AI,MainCharacter,HUD,Gameplayelements,NPC,Controllers,etc…)

-Apriorexperienceingameplayprogrammingisaplus.

-Understandsoftwareengineeringpractices.

-Abletoanalyzeandevaluateriskswhileproposingsolutions.

-Abletoprogramanddebugcomplexapplicationsusingobject-orientedorproceduralprogramming.

-Commitmenttopersonalandpeerdevelopmentandsharingbestpractices.

-Abilitytoworkindependentlyorasateamplayer.

-KnowledgeofMicrosoftOfficesoftware(Outlook,Excel,Word,Visio,Powerpoint).

-Knowledgeofbugtracking,sprintplanning,andwikisoftware.

-KnowledgeofsoftwaredevelopmentusingScrumandproperScrumpractices.

-Excellentpresentation,organization,timemanagement,andcross-departmentcommunicationskills.

-Mustberesponsible,proactive,accountable,andpersonable.

-Abletoquicklyadapttochangingsituationsandtakeonnewchallenges.

-Strongorganizationalandanalyticalskills,andabletosolveproblems.

-GraduatedfromaUniversitydegreeprogramorequivalentfromarecognizedinstitution.

-Passionforcreatingandplayinggames,nomatterwhatplatformorgenre.

-ExcellentcommunicationskillsinbothEnglishandChinese.

-2+yearsprogrammingexperience.

JobResponsibilities:

-Developsimpleandcomplexgameplaysystems,suchplayer’saction,character’sbehavior,gameelementsandgameprogression.

-Createrapidprototypesusingvariouslanguagestoshowaproofofconceptofgameplayfeatures.

-Producetoolsordebugfeaturestohelpdesignersorprogrammerspolishgameplayfeatures.

-Workcloselywithgamedesignerstoclarifydesignrequirements.

-Whenassignedagameplayfunction,breaksdownthefunctionintotasksandcreatesaplanandschedule.

-Completeyourgameplayfunctionsbasedontheplan,requirementsandscheduleapprovedbymanagement.

-Capabletoinformmanagementaheadoftimewhentasksarefallingbehindschedule,andproposesolutions.

-HelpJuniorProgrammerssolvetechnicalissuesontheirtasks.

-Communicatetheprogressofyourworktoyourpeers,customers,andleads.

-CorrectdefectsdiscoveredbyQCoryourcustomersinatimelyfashion.
