财务服务岗位职责

BillingOfficer患者财务服务代表ESSENTIALTASKS:

•Checkandprovidepatient’seligibilityandpatient’sinsurancecoverageinformation;

•Workwithcashiertoassistindividualpatientwithpayerpaymentrelatedissuesupfront;

•Conductfinancialcounsellingandfinancialscreeningtopatientspriortreatment;

•GOP(GuaranteeofPayment)applicationfrominsurancecompany;

•Ensureaccurateandcompleteclaimdocument,andsubmittopayers(e.g.Insurancecompany,Corporateclient);

•Provideefficientresponseandsufficientinformationtopayer’squestionarise;

•CreateandmaintainpayerrelatedinformationinHIS(HospitalInformationSystem);

•SelectcorrectinsuranceplancoverageforpatientinHIS;

•Monitorinpatientdepositvs.billsizestatusdaily,initiatedeposittopupactiontoensuresufficientpaymentforhospitalization;

•Escalatesanypotentialnon-paymentrisktosupervisor;

•Verifytheaccuracyofallcharges,payments/adjustments,write-offsanddebitsappliedtocorrectionsappliedtoanypatient`saccountrequiringfinancialreview.

•Discusswithself-paypatientforpaymentplanifthereisdeferredpayment,monitorandfollowupwithpatienttoensurepaymentisaccordingtotheagreedplan;

•Initiatecollectionactionondelinquentaccounts–bothpayerandself-pay;

•AR(accountreceivables)monitoringandfollowuptillpaymentisreceived;

•Maintainmeticulousrecordsofallcollectiontransactionsandfollowuprecords;

•Resolveaccountswithbankruptcies,deceasedpatientandnon-sufficientfundsissues;

•ProvideperiodicallyARreportingtofinancedepartment;

•Provideinsurancerelatedorientationtonewdoctors;

•Provideupdatestoclinicalteamonrelevantchangesofpayer’spractice;

•Scanandsaveclaimdocuments,forrecordpurpose.
