WorkwithOEMcustomersandglobalDrivetrainSystemsEngineeringorganizationintheproductdevelopmentandintegrationofdrivetrainsystemsandmodules.Responsiblefordefiningcustomerrequirements,systemspecification,conformancetorequirement,vehicleintegrationandvehiclelevelperformancecharacteristics.Workwithcustomerforproblemsolvingandrootcausefinding.

PrincipalAccountabilities/Responsibilities

•LeadintegrationofMechanical,Electro-hydraulicandElectronicdrivetrainmodulesandsystemsintocustomervehicles.

•LeadEngineeringinterfacewithcustomers

•Develophydrauliccontrolmoduleandcomponentrequirementsfromsystemrequirements

•Developanintimateknowledgeoftheproductstoassureahighlevelofself-relianceforissuesresolution

•Trackandreportproductconformancetocustomerrequirements

•NegotiatecustomercommitmentsinclosecoordinationwithBWSalesandProgramManagement

•Ensurealldeliverables&timingareclearlydefinedandcommunicatedtotheorganization

•ManagerelationshipwithcustomerEngineering

•WorkcloselywithSalestocoordinatetechnicalsupportfornewbusinessopportunitiesandnewtechnologydemonstrations

•Presentproductdesignandsystemperformanceandobtainconcurrencefromcustomer

•Participateincustomerproductdesignteammeetings

•Maintaincustomeractionitemslistandmanagecommitmentstoensurecustomerneedsaremet

•CoordinateallcustomerEngineeringactivities–arrangesupportandparticipationfromotherpartsoftheglobalDrivetrainSystemsorganizationasneeded.

•Supportanalysisofprototypepartsincustomervehicles/transmissions

Requirements/Qualifications

MasterdegreeinAutomotive,Mechanical,orElectricalEngineering(required)

Minimumof5yearsofpowertrainengineeringexperience(required)

Abilitytoworkeffectivelyacrossfunctionalandgeographicboundariesintheinterestofthecustomerandthebusiness(required)

Experiencedevelopingautomatictransmissionsystems(preferred)
