Essential

BachelordegreeorequivalentinCivilEngineeringorrelatedEngineeringdiscipline;

Goodcommunicationskills,includingwrittenandspokenEnglishandMandarin;

Confidentintheuseoflaboratoryactivitiesincludingexperimentalproceduresinsampletesting,maintenance,calibrationtasks;

Capableoftheimplementationofinternationalsafetystandardsinlaboratories;

Computerliterate,ITskillsincludingMSWord,ExcelandPowerPoint;

Problemsolvingskills;

Havegoodunderstandingofengineeringmechanics,structuresandgeotechnicsetc.;

Experienceinalaboratory/factorybasedCivilEngineeringwithbasicinstrumentation;

MainDutiesandResponsibilities

ToassistinthedevelopmentoffuturechemistryandCivilEngineeringteachingexercises(includingdevelopingexercisesandidentifyingfieldlocations);

Toprovideassistanceonresearchprojects(includingliteraturesearchesandassistancewithanalyticaltest);

ToAssistsstudentsandstaffinthepreparationanduseofequipmentandtechniquesandadvisesonanyspecificaspectsofworkwithinCivilEngineeringandrelevantsubjects;

Tobeinvolvedinthedevelopment,testing,andconstructionofnewequipmentandtechniques.

Toprovideday-to-daymanagementofthelaboratory,includingsafelaboratorypractice;

Tomonitorlevelsofstocks/storesofbasicequipmentandsuppliesandensuresthatequipment,consumablesandworkareaarereadytousewhenrequired;

Tomaintainaccuratedocumentationofmaterialsandprocessesused,asreferencematerial;

Toensurethedisposalofmaterials,toworkinanorderlymanner,observingtheUniversity’shealthandsafetypoliciesandthespecificrulesoftheworkshopandlaboratoriessafetyregulations;

TocomplywithHealthandSafetyproceduresaffectingselfandothers.
